Be Kind. Rewind: A Video Store Journaling Game

Be Kind. Rewind revisits a time when renting movies was a ritual and video stores ruled the strip malls of the world!

All you need is the zine, a deck of cards, and something to journal with!

Who's it for?

This game is for anyone who is a bit prone to the nostalgia bug and wants to explore those feelings. For some, video stores are how they fell in love with movies. For others, it was how they spent Friday nights with their family. Be Kind. Rewind explores all of those ideas, and more!

How to Play

Playing Be Kind. Rewind is easy!

• Draw from a deck of standard playing cards.

• Find the prompt that matches the card

• Have a think on it and get to journaling. You can do this writing on paper, typing on a computer, recording a voice memo, or any other way you can think to record your thoughts!

• Repeat the process until you get a Joker, How To Play Poker, or another non-standard card. This is a BLOCKBUSTER Card!
• Pick a BLOCKBUSTER prompt to journal about.

• After you journal for the BLOCKBUSTER prompt, decide if you want to keep going to call it a day!
